Meet Our Directors


 Julie ArlottiJulie Arlotti, Director - Anaheim Hills Campus

Julie brings over 15 years of educational experience as a Teacher, Coach, Advisor, Educational Coordinator, and English Language Development Director.  She has worked with several districts in Orange County, as well as with districts in the Denver, CO area.  Before taking the role as Director for Halstrom High School, Julie worked with online curriculum that, in conjunction with the Children’s Hospitals of Colorado, provided quality health education to those districts in need.  Julie is experienced with “teaching the teachers” curriculum and leadership.  She enjoys working with kids, and as a parent, understands that each student has individual needs for which Halstrom can provide.

Eddie CejaEduardo Ceja, Director - Carlsbad Campus

Eduardo Ceja is Director of Halstrom High School (Vista).  Prior to this role, Mr. Ceja was an instructor in mathematics and science for the Vista Campus of Halstrom High School.  Previously, he  was an AVID tutor (Advancement Via Individual Determination) with the Oceanside Unified School District and an after-school counselor at the Mottino Family YMCA in Oceanside.  Mr. Ceja holds a BA in Applied Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley.

 
Gina WyattGina Wyatt, Director - Huntington Beach Campus

Gina Wyatt is Director of Halstrom High School’s Huntington Beach Campus.  She has a wide range of experience in education and has worked with a broad spectrum of students.  Her career progression in education overlaps both public and private sectors, and includes: Teacher, Substitute Teacher, Tutor, Instructional Assistant, Volunteer Youth Counselor, and After School Program Leader. Gina began at Halstrom as an English and History teacher in the Anaheim Hills campus. She is very involved in the community, and has been volunteering for several charities and organizations such as the YMCA to help young adults. As a graduate of Cal State University Fullerton, Gina holds a B.A. in English, as well as a Secondary Education Teaching Credential for English.

Jayne Cho, DirectorJayne Cho, Director - Manhattan Beach Campus

Jayne Cho has worked as an educator with the ABC Unified School District and other private schools in the Southern California region. Jayne graduated from Long Beach State with a Bachelor in Chemistry. She has volunteered in out-reach programs, teaching under privileged students in the community. Working with students to achieve their greatest potential is her passion.

 
describe the imageWendy Jones, Director - Mission Viejo Campus

Wendy Jones is Director of Halstrom High School's Mission Viejo campus and the district WASC Coordinator.  Ms. Jones has more than 34 years of experience as a teacher and school administrator.  Following her experience as an elementary school teacher, Ms. Jones was Vice Principal of St. Albert the Great School in Compton and Principal of St. Peter’s Episcopal Day School in San Pedro, CA.  Her final administrative position prior to joining Halstrom High School was Principal of St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Hawthorne, CA. She retired from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles after more than 27 years of experience.  Ms. Jones earned an MA in Administration and Supervision from the UCLA and a BS in Education from Wright State University.


Kimberly HaaganKimberly Haagan, Director - San Diego Campus

Kimberly Haagen has spent more than 15 years as a secondary school teacher with San Diego Unified.  In addition to her teaching experience in San Diego Unified, she served as a department chair, testing coordinator, curriculum writer, and  an academic advisor.  She also has worked for the only company in the country that designed and managed vocational training for active duty military personnel.  She has a MA from San Diego State in Curriculum and Instruction and specialized in Geopolitics while studying abroad.  As the Campus Director, she would like more students to experience the  unique and caring 1:1 learning environment that has made Halstom the preeminent choice amongst private schools.


Lisa Bournoutian

Lisa Bournoutian, Director - Woodland Hills Campus

Lisa Bournourtian has worked as an educator for over ten years, her teaching experience ranging from elementary to college, in both the public and private sectors.  Lisa graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in English.  In addition, she holds two Masters degrees; one in English from Loyola Marymount and one in Education from the University of Phoenix, as well as a single-subject Spanish credential with the state of California.  She began her journey with Halstrom as an English and Spanish teacher before moving into the Director's role. As a parent and teacher, Lisa has seen first hand the importance of individualized attention, and its benefits.  She believes that the 1:1 instruction that Halstrom provides is key to helping students reach their full learning potential and their educational goals.
