At the Halstrom Academy San Diego campus, students work together to build a community around learning, friendship and charitable work. The diverse student body includes many athletes and actors who find the flexible scheduling options beneficial, and others who value the 1:1 instruction that allows them to learn at their own pace. The campus common area includes a wall painted with “Idea paint” where students can use markers to be creative, think visually, and share ideas with one another.
Outside the classrooms, there are three designated student areas where students can do their homework, get help from teachers, and socialize with friends. Halstrom offers many opportunities for students to make friends and socialize including the leadership club, yearbook club, numerous field trips and volunteer opportunities where our students enjoy school-life outside of the classroom.
