Message from the Regional Director
Over 18 years ago, I joined the Halstrom family after a career as a traditional K12 teacher and administrator. At the time, I found the notion of an institution with a strong focus on student-centered learning through 1:1 instruction to be compelling. What I came to learn first-hand is that Halstrom is an unparalleled experience and now, after nearly two decades, it is home to me.
Each day, I have the opportunity to work with talented and dedicated teachers. I get to watch students grow to become effective communicators and self-directed learners. It is the unique and alternative structure of our classes and our community that brings out the best in us all. Our school attracts middle school and high school individuals from all backgrounds, all walks of life. However, one thread that connects us all, both teachers and students, is the inclination to look beyond the conventional to see what an amazing experience Halstrom can be.
