The road to YOUR success.
Halstrom High School is an accredited high school for students from 7th to 12th grade. We offer a full range of courses in all subject areas that meet California graduation requirements with numerous courses that are UC and CSU approved including AP level courses. On your first day as a Halstrom student, you start with a meeting to set personalized goals and your schedule of classes based on your interests, needs, and preferences regarding scheduling and teachers. Every class you take, Halstrom teachers and directors take the time to meet with you and determine your goals for that course and how it fits into your overall educational plan.
Our teachers, the Difference Makers, take it from there and craft course projects and learning methods to teach you the best way you know how to learn.
Full-Time Program
To be considered full-time, students must take at least 4 academic courses in a semester, which meet the California graduation requirements. Students may also participate in various student activities and small group elective classes. Each course has 15-17 weekly class sessions for 5.0 credit, with about 5 hours of study in between.
Courses by Credit
Students attending other high schools or being home schooled can enroll at Halstrom for additional classes and to replace grades taken at other institutions. Many students want to take courses that meet college requirements or help them get ahead. Credit is transferable, but since school districts have their own policies regarding transferring and grades, a school official must receive a Halstrom High School Course Verification course.
